Croxley Green is set in rural Hertfordshire between Rickmansworth to the south west (1.5km) and Watford to the north east (4.8km). Croxley Green has two Village Greens, the main and largest being 7.82 hectares adjacent to which are two public houses. There are 18 designated public footpaths (8km) mainly through woodlands and adjacent countryside within the Parish boundary. In addition, Croxley Green has an historic orchard, a Moor of SSSI status and just outside the boundary is Croxley Great Barn, a 600 year old monastic barn.
Croxley Green benefits from six public houses, restaurants, infant, junior and senior schools, local shops from sports equipment to mini supermarkets, take away establishments, a library, two doctor’s surgeries, two dental practices, post offices and a Business Park to name but some of the facilities.
Croxley Green has an overall population of approximately 12,000 people with 10,354 people (18+) on the Electoral Role (as at 7 May 2015). There are some 5,500 houses and there is easy access to the M25 (junction 18 - Rickmansworth), M1 and M40. Heathrow Airport is 29km, just 30mins driving time approximately. With central London being only 40mins into Baker Street (Metropolitan Line), Croxley is a very popular place for live particularly for commuters.
Despite its overall population, Croxley Green still retains a village atmosphere and the community comes together each year for such things as the annual Revels on The Green and for fireworks on New Years Eve.
